Social prescribing plays a vital role in linking clients to non-medical community services – but directories of services are often out of date, attendance rates are low, and reporting impact is tough.
We created the Joy marketplace because a better way to make community referrals is needed.
Joy saves me lots of time previously spent searching for community services as well as hours navigating various websites and phoning different departments. Now I can refer with one simple form and be assured that our constituents are getting the support they need.

Our 2020 pilot program in Wokingham was successful, delivering a 3X increase in speed of referral and 6.7X increase in likelihood of attendance. We’re excited about growing the marketplace and currently onboarding new clients.
Whilst building the Joy marketplace we identified an additional need: social prescribers didn’t have the time or tools to manage cases efficiently. Reporting on impact, to prove programme efficacy, was an ongoing pain point.
So we built a second and complementary product: the Joy Case Management app.
